Lakefront Brewery Cream City Pale Ale
This medium-bodied, top fermenting, amber-colored pale ale is brewed using beefy portions of kettle hops. In fact, its beautiful hop and yeast bouquet is considered to be its trademark feature. In addition to the kettle hops added during the boil, Lakefront dry hops with Cascade hops during the secondary fermentation. Cream City Ale's malt firmness comes from a well thought out combination of two-row pale, carapils, and caramel specialty malts. Note a mildly spicy and slightly smoky nose and flavor. We found it to finish with a long, lingering hop bitterness.

Lakefront Brewery Eastside Dark
The rich, coffee-like flavor and aroma that you'll find in this Dark Bavarian-style lager beer comes as a result of a precise blending of 3 different specialty barley malts: Black patent, chocolate, and Munich. We were impressed with Lakefront's ability to perfectly balance the malt-hops profile with coveted Mt. Hood hops. Look for a malty nose up front. East Side Dark offers a full, rich body and balanced flavor. We found this medium-bodied, dark amber colored beer to be creamy and dense. While there was a clear hop bitterness present, there's also plenty of maltiness to balance the beer.

Millstream Brewing Company German Pilsner
Millstream's Pils is brewed with two row Breiss and Carapils malts. Note that it's very light in color and begins with a pleasant spicy hop nose. The brewery hops it nicely with Czechoslovakian Saaz and Tettnang hops. We found an assertive bitterness, rounded out nicely by a pale maltiness. Look for it to finish clean and with a lingering hop bitterness. Overall, a classic interpretation of a classic style offering a nice spicy hop character. We really liked this pilsner and would suggest pairing it Thai, Indian, or other spicy cuisine.
